This is going to be a long entry but it has plenty of pretty pictures.
I thought finding a dress would be a bit easy – mainly because I don’t think I will end up being that picky and I like simple silhouettes…. and no lace or beading. The first wedding magazine I bought (the Knot) there were absolutely no dresses in the magazine that I liked. Then I started to search more online. The more I look, the more the dresses I find that fit my style. Bridal fashion week recently ended and many designers’ collections were posted on Martha Stewart weddings.
One designer I am really starting to like is Monique Lhuillier. The below images are from her most recent show and are from the Martha Stewart Weddings’ website. I know I said I don’t like lace all that much but I absolutely adore the use of it in her gowns.
Another bridal collection I like is Rivini but I am completely turned off from them by their website. The “Site best viewed in Internet Explorer 6″ note makes me cringe and I don’t think I can make myself ever go on their site to look at their pretty dresses.
Above: Featured in the most recent Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. The other two are from the blog.
Amsale is Amsale… there is no way I could not show some of her amazing dresses.
I think this Oscar de la Renta dress is absolutely gorgeous. This dress is used in one of his ad campaigns and It shows better there (I need to scan it and put it up).
I really liked this dress by Birnbaum & Bullock. I like the retro feel (the picture is a bit blurry unfortunately). And it has pockets! I love dresses with pockets.
This would be a great reception dress. I like the asymmetrical neck line. By Cymbeline.
Last is this dress by Watters from the InStyle Christina Hendricks shoot. I also really like how she is styled.
